Lookout Expansion

Anyone going to the meetings this week? Lookout is presenting their EIS plans for public comment.

Sounds like in addition to the two new chairlifts and 15 runs, they will be replacing the frontside double chair with a quad.

Meeting info:

All scoping meetings will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Meetings will take place April 22 in DeBorgia at the Black Diamond Ranch, 120 DeBorgia-Haugan Frontage Road; April 23 in Wallace, Idaho, at the Wallace Inn, 100 Front St.; and April 24 in Coeur d’Alene at the Coeur d’Alene Forest Supervisor’s Office, 3815 Schreiber Way.

Went to meeting tonight in CDA.  It wasn't a regular presentation.  there was no Speaker per se just about 20 people milling around talking to the Enviro people that are handling the govt red tape for Lookout, hired by Lookout and a few forest service people.  Phase they are working on now is 2 chairs on the back side and they are shooting for a 2016 date for full approval etc. No real opposition there besides a few snowmobilers.  People I talked to were pretty  positive about whole expansion plan.

If you didn't go - you were smart - didn't  miss anything.
