Yeah, pretty limited to those who have seen Star Wars.

I had a similar fleeting feeling I'd seen the look somewhere.

If they are this tight ,they better not banish them.

Looks a bit like Luke with the snow commander outfit:

Wampa - had to look it up. Snow creature that almost ate Luke.  People do some "interesting" stuff with the Wampa thing.

Addidas came out with a Wampa Shoe in 2011. They needed a costume for the photo shoot:

Addidas Wampa Shoe. There's one in all white also:

This one might be from a retro/neon theme day at Crystal a couple years back.

I hope not! That view should never be endangered.

Talking tight.

Must be the era of The Avengers and Diana Rigg.

And where the term "wedgie" came from.

I'm just here to post in this very important thread.

Whistler Blackcomb is running a spring promo along with this 80's era ad, complete with stretch pants.

I'm a little late to the game. Here are pants. I learned something in kindergarten, @Tog

@Tog, yes. It was my home mountain. http://www.epicski.com/t/69076/more-retro-memories/1380#post_1100069 (more pictures of stretch pants in that thread. :))

I saw, but didn't take pictures, of a couple of lovely ladies at Breck on Sunday. They were wearing stretch pants that were either denim material or designed to look like jeans and they looked great!

Does anyone remember (how could you not) the pin-up centerfolds that they used to include in either SKI or SKIING magazines back in the early 70s? My GF at the time wasn't impressed by my decor, needless to say.

Tog--with your concerns about accurate terminology and correctness and such, I must say that I am disappointed in your posting of this image to this thread. The very close inspection that this image deserves reveals compelling evidence that...those are not pants. What you are looking at is clearly boots, and I'm not convinced that she's even wearing pants at all. Perhaps you should check your sources, although I doubt that the photographer even knows, as it appears that he would have lost an eye an instant after the photograph was taken.

Please try to be more careful, moving forward.

;)

Well, my wife tells me that I'm wrong, that those are not boots at all--that it is a "jumpsuit" (whatever that is). I guess I'll have to look more closely, again. Of course, she tells me I'm wrong a lot, so maybe I'll just have to get her a pair of those boots....

Regards,

Bob

That could have been the Volcom Stretch Battle Skinny Pant. See post 136.

Well, you're right, they're not pants.

Ask what the difference is between a "jump suit" and a "pants suit".

Here you go:

Jumpsuit originally referred to the utilitarian one-piece garments used by parachuters/skydivers, but has come to be used as a common term for any one-piece garment with sleeves and legs.

A pantsuit or pant suit, also known as a trouser suit outside the United States, is a woman's suit of clothing consisting of trousers and a matching or coordinating coat or jacket.

There is no such thing as a pants suit.

So, it's pantsuit.

Who says you don't learn anything here?

Off now.

Here you go.  Bogner Malena pants.  The wrinkled and faded blue denim is a graphic printed onto stretch ski pants.
