Too much focus/emphasis on fore/aft movements along the longitudinal axis of the skis during transitions of this nature can impact the timing of the catch and release relationship of the cm/bos, and not always in a way that is beneficial. Excessive tip pressure up high can cause the cm to land too soon and create a pushback, excessive aftness up high can necessitate a pivot in order to regain control (which is fine if that is your intent).
