It seems over the past several years I've been encountering more and more mogul fields with weird shapes. The shapes I am particularly interested in discussing are long and narrow. Kind of like overlapping mini spines or surfboards. I hope I am describing these adequately?
My questions are:
1. How to ski them? If I stay in the troughs I pick up too much speed by the time I reach beyond the long bump and have to slam on the brakes and lose my rhythm. I cant really ski up the front of them because of their pointy nature. Should I make two turns on the same bump? One on one side and one on the other with absorption?
2. Why are these shapes forming this way on certain runs? I remember (back in the day) most bump runs would have the typical round appearance
3. I am very interested in participating in a mogul camp next season. I know of the one at Winter Park and one at Mammoth. Any others to consider? Anyone been to either of these and how was the experience?
Thank you in advance for your thoughts
