Which binding goes on a marker piston plate

I bought a women's fis WC Volkl racetiger 2009 model 23 radi and I do not like the ski at all. I have skied Volkls for 30 years and this would be the first one I did not like. I just slapped a pair of bindings on the skis.

I am being told the ski has to have a marker piston plate on it. I have located a plate to buy so now what binding goes on it? Anyone have a pair to sell?

Pls PM Scotskier.

(You need a marker binding... Which one depends on the age of the plate, but most likely you'll need a marker 'comp' binding... Din 12/16/20/30 versions are ... 30 is no longer available to the general public. 99.9% don't need it. smile.gif

Again, Scotskier will know this stuff like the back of his hand. Take his advice. It's good.

Clarification:

There are two categories of recent Marker Race bindings "Comp" and "ExCel"

"Comp" 12/16 have not been manufactured for well over 1 1/2 years and not offered to dealers for over a year. 20/30 still made but only the 20 is available without connections. Any Marker piston plate over ~~ 1 year old needs a "Comp" binding.

The Excel is the current Jr program race binding and is made in 12/16 DIN. Any current Piston Plate will accept the Excel or the Comp. Plates older than 1 year will take Comps only, not Excel.

This.  Jim, the titanium and/or free 1200 bindings also fit the previous plate IIRC?

Yes. That's what I have on my P60 SL. The MUCH older plate also fits the 9.1 series.

Bought the binding and plate. How do I find the correct dementions to mount the plate. I need to make sure the shop mounts it correctly as they already mounted the current bindings incorrectly.
