Kindly help me find a replacement for my treasured RX8's

Thread Starter

Skied Gore Friday 4-11 and have to face the reality that my RX 8's have lost their edge. The camber is all but gone and where they used to rocket me from one turn to the next, they are almost dead feeling.

So, what to get... The replacement will be part of a quiver so I do not need a "all mountain" ski. I am a light weight guy so I am not in the market for a bridge abutment.

What I would like is to find a new pair of RX8's lingering in a shop somewhere looking for a good home. However I have been checking Fischer's web site and have seen these...RC 4 Superior RC Powerail. (http://www.fischersports.com/us/Alpine/Products/Skis/Race/2392-RC4-Superior-RC)

With a name that long it's gotta be good right?

Just wondering if anyone has any direct experience with them or maybe a light weight, carving machine with huge rebound to fill that slot in the quiver.

Thanks

There are some good options in that range. Blizzard Ultrasonic, Head Rally, Nordica FireArrow 76 to name a few.

Great suggestion on the Blizzard Ultrasonics. I bought a pair from Start Haus and I've used them the past two seasons in the northeast. They were a replacement for my RX8s and I'm very happy with them! Thank you, Start Haus!

I'm not sure what in Blizzards current line up have replaced the Ultrasonics though.
