I am looking to get my soon to be 18-yo daughter a pair of all mountain that can bite. She skis both in the east (Central NY and Whiteface) and out west (Utah,etc.). She has a pair of Rossi Scratch BC that she loves for the powder and all-around skiing and she uses a pair of Nordica SL for the eastern ice and hardpack.
The goal is to get rid of the SL and replace it with a pair of good carving skis (ladies if all possible) that are also good on eastern crud, trees, bumps and pow. She loves the carvability of the Scratch BC but she would like to ski them more like racers on groomers, especially when it's hard and firm.
Now that it's the end of the season, could someone help us pick out a pair that won't break the bank? (Perhaps something similar to the Fischer Motive 86 for ladies?) It does not have to be the current season's. @Trekchick
Here is something about my kid:
- Expert all around skier and ex-racer
- 5'0" and 120+lbs (strong athletic build)
