I had a pair, too, which I really loved.

They were just soft enough to make pretty nice powder skis (for their time).

1200SP's were the first NEW skis I bought. I remember the day pretty well. It was the end of the season..my girlfriend and I drove my 74 Superbeetle to Nesters in Allentown and I got the last pair. 204's for 50% off...$142.50, this was spring 82. These did have a race flex number but I didn't know what it meant or remember what it was. In the fall I mounted up some MRR's on them then skied these exclusively until 85 or so, I recall these being a nimble slalom ski but I did get back on them in the early mid 90's and wondered how the hell I even turned them.

That's roughly what I paid for my 710 FOs on proform fall of 1981.  Those were the days when instructors had decent compensation and benefits.
