Need to decide on a trip next year...

Yes, I know it's very early , but I need to decide on a ski trip for 2015.  I have to pick my vacation weeks very early in the year and it's soon time for me to pick my weeks for the next fiscal year.  I basically get one free vacation per year through work and I use it to go skiing.  I went to Jackson Hole in February, and it was awesome.  Next year, these are my choices:

Big Sky

Whistler

Tahoe

Vail

Aspen

Sun Valley

Jackson Hole (yes, I'd go back)

Park City.

Obviously, conditions can't be predicted but which of these resorts would you guys pick and why?

Please see the the two chord cool thread about where to go. Discussed to death. (Joking)

I suggest Aspen. 4 great mountains with tons of terrain, great restaurants and lots of lodging choices. Enough variety to keep you busy for a week.

Whistler, Jackson and Park City are good choices also.

I have been to Big Sky and Sun Valley in low snow years. They are great mountains but I would do a last minute trip to those places based on snow conditions not commit a year in advance.

Thanks for the reply.  Aspen is definitely one of my top choices.  I loved Jackson so much that I'd be happy to go back, but I'd like to switch it up.

Since you loved Jackson Hole it seems like you should steer towards more challenging mtns that are pretty snowsure:  Aspen area, Big Sky, and Whistler would be good contenders esp late Feb, early March.  Oops, not on your list, but Alta/Bird should be considered too.

I'm limited to that list of places, but I did get to snowbird in February and loved it. Didn't get to hit Alta because I was with boarders. What's the scene like at Big Sky for après and dining?

My choices would be Aspen, or back to Jackson.

Big Sky is purportedly dead.  That one question tells me you should go to Whistler where the apres ski is through the roof (Aspen also great for that).  Just do your homework on when the snow is best at Whistler and go for it.

Even though I am ambassador for Sun Valley, I would also reccomend Aspen.

I like James' logic.

There's no predicting weather, but Jackson had a pretty banner year this year. I'd be inclined to look somewhere else next year.
