So guys, I caught the bug. I finally started learning to ski this year, and found it to be massively addicting. I went 6 times since February 22nd on East Coast mountains.
Hunter (only Hunter One)
Mountain Creek - started skiing blues all day
Windham - Skied blues all day
Killington - Started with greens, then blues all afternoon
Stowe (overnight trip) skiied blues almost exclusively the entire weekend, but did my first black runs - Main Street, Upper Smuggler, and Nosedive, and didn't fall much at all (not till got caught in a narrow black mogul run)
I have time off from work in mid April, and was seriously considering booked a short trip to Salt Lake City to get a couple of more days of skiing in before I have to put everything away till next winter.
The question is, how would Snowbird compare to Stowe, especially around April 14th, and, would a beginner be able to enjoy themselves?
