2005 ESA depends on YOU!!!

If you attended ESA in 2004, we need your input to make ESA 2005 exceed it. If you have lost the link to the evaluation form, drop me a PM and I'll resend it.

Please let us hear from you by March 10.

Thanks!

I didn't attend the ESA but feel I need to put in my input. At the end of next year's ESA could you schedule something to get all the emotions and bonding out of your systems. Maybe you can have a big group hug or pass around a drum of truth and give heart-wrenching testimonials to how your lives have been changed. I really don't care. I just don't want to be subjected to what I went through this year. During the weeks that followed this years ESA it seemed like every thread on this forum degraded into an ESA alumni love-fest that belonged on Paula's. Even Gonzo, who usually stops such rubbish, got into the act.

aw come on Rio, even the hard-shelled flame-throwing cynical maggots wax lyrical every time they meet on one of their summits or minisummits! I guess internet personalities are not immune to influence from more subdued real-life ones...

gotta say Gonzo was a surprise, though.

Gonzo's gone over to the dark side. His posts pertainging to the ESA kept getting mushier and mushier to the point I was expecting him to start writing in happy colors like PINK or <font size+1 color=purple> PURPLE and using Hello Kitty smileys.

Hmmm? I wonder if the waters have been sufficiently chummed?

we'll see.

Personally, I enjoyed hearing about the ESA and seeing the bonds that were formed. I absolutly loves the ETU and would go again...and I would also like some day to make it to the ESA. I was a bit jealous of those who attended, but I was able to control my jealousy and didn't lash back at people because of it.

Rio is right. We really did get carried away.

After all, it's horrible when total strangers meet on the internet, then meet in person, and actually LIKE each other well enough to sing praises about it and have a good GD time.

We'll control our enthusiasm from now on.

(not)

Gee,you're right Bonni. I heard that some nuts that met on the internet, then actually met in person are now going to get married...imagine that! Didn't that happen right here on EPIC? Imagine that!
What kind of weirdo would actually marry someone they met on Epic? Sheesh.

We obviously have to contact Homeland Security about these reports of people meeting up over the internet. Who knows what nefarious things might happen.

Great idea, I'll do that right now...we have to put an end to this!

I forgot that even Bonni was gushy about ESA. Its like some type of mass brainwashing occurred. Did any of the attendees notice excessive flickering when watching videos?

Thanks to all responding to our survey. We heard from more than 60% of this year's participants and have received a lot of great suggestions, including plenty of superb ski areas to locate next year's Academy. We've had inquiries already about the place and date of the 2005 Academy, and have heard from a couple of ski area people about hosting our event.

We'll evaluate the feedback and get to work on the dates and venue right away.
