Thread Starter
My son and I are going to abasin April 14 - 16, this will be are first trip there. I am an advanced skier that can ski some expert only trails. My son can go anywhere I can.
What are the must do trails?
Thanks in advance for your replies.

A-Basin and Pallivacini are inseparable. Take the lift on the right and take a hard right at the top and you're there.

It's got the skull and crossbones to keep the gapers out, and it is a reasonable challenge (or go around to the trees for more grunt), but it something you have to do at A-Basin

Your son might enjoy "The Gulch", which is parallel to the base Black Mountain lift.  You might not. :)  The last time I skied there I was with my son, and we had a nice time skiing the runs of Pali lift around Slalom Slope (opposite side from Pallavicini run, easy blacks).  I personally like the blue stuff under the Lenawee lift and could ski them all day (and have sometimes).

I agree with jrbd.  The terrain under the Lenawee lift is lots of fun, varying in difficulty from blue to black.  And you can check out the lines as you ride up.  Pali is legitimate double black, so you might want to hold off on that until you've sampled some of the easier stuff.  You can ride the Pali lift and check it out, and if it looks like to much, can ski off the other side on groomed blue and easier black terrain.

If you see it, you can generally ski it.
