Originally scheduled for Sestriere, Italy the International Masters Games Association IMGA has moved the Winter World Masters Games 2015 to Quebec City. That's pretty bad news for us Europeans but I've never been in Canada so who knows, maybe I just have to reschedule my trawling plans a bit. Anybody here planning on taking part? What kind of weather and conditions can be expected and @ what kind of resort do they hold the races?

my guess is you can expect some alpine competition at either of the follwoing resorts (don't expect high mountians as it's all well bellow treeline):
-massif de charlevoix (700 m vertical, 1h15 form quebec so maybe it's too far but it has nice sustained pitch and was a training center. it also is rigth on the edge of the st lawrence and has very nice views)
-mont ste anne (600 m vertical, 45 minutes from quebec, also my favorrite hill in quebec with nice views on the river)
-stoneham (350 m vertical, 25 minutes from quebec.)
-le relais (very small but very close)
But since quebec city is hosting they migth stick to closer hills in order to maximize tourism revenues in the city.
in terms of weather it depends on the date but you can expect cold weather!
Sounds a lot like our normal winter conditions
