Bootfitter recommendation needed

Thread Starter

Hi everyone!  New to the forum and looking for a little advice.  Just getting back into the sport after a 20+ year hiatus...I know the first purchase I need to make are boots, but living in Kansas City I'm very limited to my choices of retailers.  Can anyone recommend a good bootfitter in the KC area or even within a reasonable drive?  Thanks for your help.

Wow, after a little investigation here http://www.bootfitters.com/ and at the top of this forum,  it would appear there are no actual boot fitters even remotely close to me.  So what do others in my situation do?  Is it not wise to just go to the one and only local ski shop and buy from the kid working there even though he may not be a boot fitter?    mntlion, Your suggestion would probably be the best option at this point, but unfortunately that wont be possible this year due to prior commitments and work....work always seems to get in the way!  ;)
