I know it is 8.7" clearance, which wouldn't help much driving in very deep snow.
But, would this be able to drive up and park on on mounds of snow with ease, then back off, rather than shoveling all that snow? Again, I would not attempt to drive aound in snow storm on deep unplowed streets.
I am also concerned about which engine to get. Most of the time it would be just me, or my brothers driving local to a golf course. Or just me going upstate NY skiing. At times though in summer, it will be 3 of us(big guys), golf bags and luggage for weekend trips upstate. I read that the the 2.5 is not that great going up hills and/or passing on the highway. Does anyone with this engine agree? For the 3 -4 times I would be doing this, would the 2.5 be ok?
I also heard the 2.5 can be a bit loud?
I would want the 2.5, to save on money and gas. If I go for the 3.6, with the options and packages I want, the gas mileage drops drastically, and the price can be in the mid to upper $30K AND I can get a Highlander or 4runner for that price. But I don't need those huge monsters. I've sat in the Oubacks in dealers and am amazed at how high I sit compared to my Jetta and even more, the roomy back seats(for my huge 6'3 brother).
Any thoughts please?
