Demo'ing and Ski Instruction.

These are the two most important things I have take away from getting back into skiing after a decade hiatus.

1) Demo'ing skis allowed me to avoid buying a ski that would have been a mistake and allowed me to find the skis I never knew existed.

2) Ski instruction, while I can comfortable ski the whole mountain, I wanted to make sure I was skiing the right way. I ended up getting a ski instructor who really helped me improve my form and technique. I was able to ski 50% more runs in duration than I have previously done and I can ski at higher speeds more comfortable. As I my form looks/feels more like a racer than riding in the seat, my quads don't burn anymore. It feels like it is a good idea to take a couple lessons throughout the season so it allows you to work on what the instructor has taught you.

It's nice to see an instruction success story. Welcome back to the slopes!
