I completely understand being in awe of someone's perfect technique. It's always impressive to see someone master something that you know is so difficult to do. ...but I don't understand why people are so bothered by poor technique. I could understand if your livelihood was a function of how well you skied compared to every other skier. ...but it's not that way for anyone. Most people ski for recreation and those that don't are judged against others that do so professionally.
If someone skids their turns for instance, does it even matter unless the skier is either racing or trying to be PSIA certified?
Good technique also prevents injury, which is even more important. Its the guy skidding turns that's more likely to catch an edge or fall in the backseat and get hurt.
