K2 Rictor 82 170cm vs.177cm

Thread Starter

I have the old Rictor 80 size 174cm and looking to get the 82.

Debating sizes? No opportunity to demo until next year.

I like the old Rictor as my all mountain, springtime take a bump run, venture a little off piste, eastern kinda ski.

Debating whether to go longer or shorter? Rictor 80 always skied slow, never maxed out my speed as compared to other skis, 174 was ok in bumps, occassionally felt I could go shorter for those tight spots and trees.

Any opinions on how this new Rictor 82 skied in those 2 lengths for those of you who tested both lengths?

You're really missing the critical piece of info: how big are you?

I ski the Rictor 82 in a 177, but I'm 195 lbs. I had the Aftershock in 174. The Rictor 82 is much more stable at speed than the previous series.
