$52 bucks for all inclusive week of skiing in Michigan?  Not sure if I'd pay that today.  Cool pics though.

Really cool pictures of ski history.  That chairlift looks really odd, looks like it has a solid rail that the chairs hand from.  (aparently it came from mt snow)  Skiing was huge (and is still big) in Michigan  Check out the 73 ski areas in the image below (couldn't figure out how to attach PDF)

Lots of additional old Michigan ski pics at: http://www.waterwinterwonderland.com/skiresorts.aspx

More on Caberfae history at: http://www.michiganskier.com/caberfaehistory.html

More on "chain conveyor lift" from mt snow: http://teachski.com/pcindex2004/MtSnowVermont.htm

Note: picture 5 is mislabeled above, picture 3 and 5 above are both of the shelter run (different days)

For folks who can get away for a little bit from the Lower part of the state, that was a pretty fun trip.  Back in the day Caberfae was pretty popular for folks who lived "down state"

The #5 picture is one picture of shelter and the t-bar.  But thanks for noticing that.  It made me look twice.

Still is.  :)

Families (3 people) ski for $49 on Sundays at the Mighty C.  $15 each additional person.  The price also includes lessons and rentals if you want them.
