Booking Stowe and Sugarbush [late March]

post #1 of 3
Thread Starter

I've yet to book anything for my trip and figure I need to get on that pretty quickly!

My preference is to ski the best days at Stowe but I just think that will be too difficult to manage... I think?

Right now I was THINKING:

- Sunday->Tuesday @ Stowe (thinking 3 or 4 days)

- Thurs->Fri/Sat @ Sugarbush (thinking 2 or 3 days)

Should I just book accommodations, buy the lift tickets and hope for the best, or is there a way I can still leave myself with some flexibility?

I'm still fairly unsure about where to stay and may even want to stay at multiple places. Think I'll have any issues with late bookings the week of 23->28?

Sorry for the bunch of questions about this trip! Pretty new adventure for me :)

just go , there should be no problems getting a place to stay in either location during the week, even on the week ends that time of year it is really slowing down. As for tickets you can usually pre buy on line a day or two before, sometimes even the night before and get some type of discount. Sugarbush North (Mt Ellen) is $30 thursdays. Have a great trip

Buying lift tickets online ahead of time will certainly save you a few bucks at Stowe. The walk up window rate is $98 but if you buy online ahead of time the rate is $84. If you plan on skiing Sugarbush for 3 or more days the spring pass for $199 might work out to be a better deal than purchasing individual or multi day passes at the window rate. Sugarbush sometimes drops the daily lift ticket rates late season so I'd check that out first. Don't know when & if they will. Stowe will not be dropping ticket rates until after April 7. Don't think you'll have a problem finding accommodations at either resort that time of the year, especially during the week. Enjoy your trip.
