Aspen last day 2015? Easter is 4/5

Trying to figure out next year's skiing.  We bought Mountain Collective passes and are considering Alta for New Year's and Aspen for Easter- Kids school is out the week starting Easter which is early next year on April 5.

I see that this year (with a late Easter), Buttermilk and Highlands close before Easter, Aspen and Snowmass close on Easter.  Do they always close Easter, or only when it's late?

Thanks

Jim

Answering my own post.

Aspen customer service emailed back this year's dates and said nothing about next year.  I searched the web and found past scheduled closing dates-  Aspen Mountain and Snowmass close last, with Highlands one week earlier and Buttermilk usually even earlier.

Based on dates listed below, it looks like closing date gets bumped to Sunday in the middle of April if Easter is earlier.  I predict that next year they will plan on closing Aspen Mountain and Snowmass Sunday April 12, with Highlands closing a week earlier on Easter.

Therefore we should be good for the lifts running, hopefully the snow will be there too.

2007 Easter 4/8 Scheduled Closing 4/15
2008 Easter 3/23  Scheduled Closing 4/13, extended to 4/27
2009 Easter 4/12  Scheduled Closing 4/12
2010 Easter 4/4  Scheduled Closing 4/11
2011 Easter 4/24  Scheduled Closing 4/24
2012 Easter 4/8  Scheduled Closing 4/15
2013 Easter 3/31 Scheduled Closing 4/14, extended
2014 Easter 4/20 Scheduled Closing 4/15

They'll keep things open into the third week of April if it's good.
It's a great time to come!

Nice research!  Sounds right for most the major CO resorts to close April 12 next year.

I really think the first week of April is the best value for some of the best skiing in Colorado.  In a half decent snow year the skiing is still great.  It's usually either warm and sunny or dumping.  There are zero crowds anywhere, and fantastic deal to be had.

I'm glad that Aspen is a good bet for April, since lodging prices in Aspen at Christmas are a lot higher than springtime, while Salt Lake is quite reasonable at Christmas.

This is mostly about planning our Mountain Collective pass use from Los Angeles.  Now leaning toward Alta and maybe Jackson Hole around Christmas, Aspen for Easter, Mammoth and Squaw for mid-winter 3 day weekends.

That's probably a good call.
Christmas is really a crap shoot everywhere. The more flexibility you have then, the better.
Book a cancelable reservation in SLC and then make the call, last minute.

Aspen doesn't have lift lines, but the rates aren't worth it at Christmas, unless it's really good
