Cannon - Burke - Jay - MRG

Few quick pics from a trip through parts of northern Vt. this weekend. Cannon on Friday was a cue ball, best remembered for clear skies, good scenery, and a few passable runs on the edges of hard bumps off the Zoomer chair. Burke on Saturday was very enjoyable but oh so thin in the woods. Jay Sunday had far better base and surface than Cannon or Burke, with very nice snow in some of the glades. Son of ski buddy is an instructor there and he chaperoned us around for a few hours. Mad River today served up a surprise powder day, with about 3 inches of dust on crust near the bottom, but more like 6 - 8 on parts of the upper mountain. Lynx - Beaver and Lower Antelope were particularly fun.

Nice!  Jay and MRG are two areas that I have a desire to ski.  I hope to make it back to the East Coast to hit them.

Nice, qcanoe. Makes me long for New England. We skied Jay over Easter Break last year, all was open and very skiable. I followed my son down some bobsled run in tight evergreens on a steep face, must have been Deliverance because I was praying for relief. I hope you can deliver game day coverage of the upcoming NE Gathering. Lets Go Pens! :D
