Snowbird, Late February

Spent 4 days at Snowbird during the last weekend of Feb. It's been a slow year there, but we were lucky enough to get 20+ inches during our visit. This was far from typical Utah pow - heavy, solid stuff, but still lots of fun and and at least it covered a fair few rocks, allowing us to hit some fun lines off the Cirque Traverse on the last two days. Powder days at Snowbird are crazy busy things in the mornings though, so it's hard to get lots of fresh lines especially with a good chunk of the mountain closed.

Lots of pics and a report at:

Thanks for posting the report and photos.  This past weekend up in the BCC was outstanding - bluebird skis, lighter snow, simply beautiful conditions.

Sounds great - ski life, like comedy, is all about timing after all ;)

I was at the Bird Thursday  through Saturday.  Super fun spring conditions, a 5" powder day on Friday and lots of skiing to be had.

Thanks nice trip. was there on Valentines Day and looked like you had much more snow on the cirque traverse. Same kind of heavy snow and low vis though. Love that shot looking down the tram cables.
