Scarpa Maestrale RS A/T Boots for Sale

Thread Starter

Hello All,

I have a pair of Scarpa Maestrale RS A/T boots for sale.

They are a size 27.0 boot. I wore them once decided that they were too small and got a larger pair.

The intuition liners have yet to be molded and they are basically a brand new boot.

I am looking to sell them for $300 or Best offer.

If you have any questions feel free to post here or PM me.

Thanks!

No worries. I wear a 26.5 in Lange, have to check with my bootfitter if the 27.0 will be the right size for the Scarpa. ( i believe they run slightly small so should be good)

will be in contact shortly.

cheers

nicolas

Just FYI, Scarpa shells change size on the half size. In other words, the shell size for these are 26.5 - 27. Most other brands change shell size on the whole size. So all other fit issues considered separately, the 27s are the same shell size as 26.5s and should be the correct length.

I mention that only because some boot fitters may not be familiar with Scarpa.

Yes Bob is absolutely correct. The 26.5 and 27 size shells are the same for scarpa. The bsl is 306mm if that is helpful for you.

Thanks for the info Bob =)

hi sorry for the silence, i believe then my Lange at 26.5 is the same as a 26 then since Lange changes on whole sizes. So the 26.5/27 in Scarpa is the next size up. or am i misunderstanding? my BSL is 305, so perhaps then it is the same size?

What does your foot measure in cms?  Go by that instead of BSL or the Lange shell size.  If your foot is 26.5 or 27 cms then the Maestrale in this thread is the proper length.

thanks for the reply, I am not sure, i will have to find that out. I guess i should have already asked, but does anyone know what the last is in this boot? thanks

Trace your foot on a piece of paper and measure the length with a ruler.

I'm not sure what you mean by your question but the boot is medium volume, maybe just a little on the low side.  I have a particularly high instep and feel a little cramped there in Maestrales.  The toe box has pretty good room.

the "last", as i understand it and as boot fitters use the term, refers to the width of the boot at the toes. usually 98-102mm

Oh, you meant the width of the forefoot of the last. The last is actually the entire form that the boot is shaped on, and there's a lot more to it than just the forefoot width. Anyway, the width of the forefoot is listed as 101 mm. Look at the specs tab here:
http://www.scarpa.com/maestrale-rs

BTW, the price offered by the OP is a very good one for an essentially new boot. If they fit me I'd buy them in a heartbeat.

I have the non-RS version of this boot.

My alpine boots are a 26.5 with w 308 BSL and I wear the 26.5/27 shell size of these boots giving me an alpine boot like fit/feel.

I find the last to be slightly narrower than the stated 101mm, and agree with the fact that the instep volume is average to low. However a lot of magic can be done with the intuition liners to open that up.

This is an absolutely KILLER deal.

Hi EbotShon, do you mind if i ask you what type of alpine boots you wear in a 26.5? thanks

Salomon Quest Max 120. They have a custom heat molded shell so its hard to truly compare the fit.

I was in a pair of Nordica Speedmachine 8's before.

Even if these don't work out, you can easily flip them in November.
