Starting to plan next years trip, need suggestions

Hey all,

I'm planning a trip for next winter out west. We want to go somewhere we havent gone so Jackson, Beaver Creek, Mammoth, Breck, Squaw, and Kirkwood are out. Our requirements are; somewhere decently easy to get to( I dont want to fly into a city then drive 4 hours in a rental car) somewhere that doesnt cost $800 to fly to ( we fly out of NYC). We like to party, so no ghost towns. And we need deep snow.

We are all advanced/expert skiers ( and an advanced snowboarder) but we dont need to be hucking 30 foot cliffs, we just need some deep, and some good tree skiing.

I just want to hear your recommendations and maybe why.

Oh by the way, Im new on here. Im Mike, from CT.  :beercheer:

Welcome to the forums!  There are so many cool places to go ski across this great land, but of course I'll give a plug for my adopted state.  From your list it doesn't look like you've made it to Utah for a ski trip.  SLC is an easy place to fly into and then it's very close to get to most of the resorts/ski areas.  If you're looking for fun times in a resort town, then Park City is your best bet.  If you're looking for the best snow, then you can't beat the consistency of the higher altitude resorts in the Cottonwood Canyons - Alta/Snowbird/Brighton/Solitude.  You can drive up the canyons to ski, stay in SLC, and hit the town in the evenings.  And you have Snowbird, Powder Mtn, Deer Valley and the previously mentioned ski areas all within easy access of one another.

Good luck in your decision making.  I'm sure you'll have a blast where ever you go.  Every place is great on a fresh powder day.

Aspen, SLC or Whistler. I don't think any of them meet all your criteria. They're three of the top five in North America and you've been to the other two.
Maybe you should consider Europe?

Park City Utah is the first place that came to my mind.  Nice resort town with three ski areas and the Cottonwood Canyon resorts not too far away.
