WTB: ski gloves with in-built thumb brace

Thread Starter

I have one half of a pair of size medium gloves (R) that I purchased from KOMBI some time ago :(  They are waterproof, and more importantly have an inbuilt hard shell thumb brace. looking to buy a new pair. MAKER also used to make these back in the early 90's.

You could go with the Slytech Fortress.  I bought a pair of the mittens after tearing my UCL and joint capsule while racing earlier this year (smacked my thumb on a gate).

The back of the thumb-area is covered with their 2nd Skin material and supposedly helps protect against skier's thumb injuries.  It's not really a hard shell, but a material that stiffens on impact (and also gets pretty stiff when it's cold).
