Here are hours of Ken Paynter  doing Analysis and Diagnosis on Level 2's that wanna be 3's and 3's that wanna be 4's...

I changed my skiing after watching these and now I am whipping it out on my ski-buddies....

" Equal angles between ankle, knee and hip".

" Yer legs are long when they should be short and short when they should be long".

Thx for posting. Always get something out of it. He's one of the few that talks about being too forward towards the tips at times.

First 3 at least are poster people for starting turns with an up move.

Advanced skiers, level 2 and 3s can be to far forwards which makes the tails skid out and contributes to rotation.

Haven't followed this particular link (yet!), but I've skied with Ken a number of times before. More so than many other L4 examiners (and there are a number of good ones here in Canada), Ken seems to speak my language, and I've found that I always take away some good thoughts on skiing/ski technique.

Really like this post.  Thank you.

I find it fascinating how he breaks down skiers and then has suggestions on drills they could do to improve.

Good stuff!

I enjoyed the great instruction on these videos . He really breaks it down in a way I can understand. Where does Dr Ken teach?

Whistler-Blackcomb. Ken Paynter. I suspect you'll have to book a private to get him since he runs mostly instructor training. Well worthwhile though. I had a fantastic half-day private with him last week and was thoroughly worn out and mind-blown by the end of it.

I want one of these with John Gillies's talking and giving feedback/lesson.
