Brighton question about a few of the blue runs

Thread Starter

I've been skiing greens and would like to try a blue.  My next chance is Wednesday night so Majestic and Crest Express are my two lift options.

For those familiar with Brighton, how would you describe the difficulty of Thunder Road and Pacific Highway?  Are they light blues?  Dark blues?

You can also ask the question of a Brighton Mountain Host when you go.

Pacific highway is a "light blue" as you called it. Gentle slope and very manageable - The easiest way down from the crest lift. Thunder road is a bit steeper or "dark blue" especiallly at the top then becomes more "greenish" midsection, then back to blue... The run called "snow drift" would be in between. The nice thing about Brighton for newer skiers is that the area of crest and majestic and snake are "rolling" meaning steeper slopes followed by flatter sections. It gives you a chance to pick up speed and then put on the breaks if you get uncomfortable. The Milly side is another story.
