Something like that, well I'm lucky that I don't need to catch a flight and deal with airports, I live 5hrs driving from SLC and Jackson and I don't have kids and I also have a pretty flexible working schedule... so every time my wife has a few days off from her nursing shifts (which unfortunately are scheduled up to 60 or so days ahead of time) I tried to go, so far I haven't been lucky since she seems to always be working during storm cycles and get her days off during the dry period!

I make the best of it, and always have fun anyway, but each time it happens I'm a little less likely to book that next big trip. Granted, I happen to live somewhere where the skiing can be quite good locally; that definitely biases me.
Anyway, here's hoping you next trip comes through for you mfa81. What's your home mountain? Bogus? How's the season there so far?
Yep, I ski bogus mostly... the thing the gets me more upset is that I'm within driving distance from the snow paradise like Jackson and Salt Lake City, even Brundage which is a little over than 2hrs driving is much, much better! Bogus is depressing right now and I don't see it getting any better, every storm system seems to go around it!
But anyway, when I have nothing better to go I still go and try to have fun, but that doesn't change the fact that I'm still update we've go 70" so far this season which is like what people get in their driveway at some places!
I keep telling my wife I should become a teleworker and move to SLC, she keeps telling me there is more in life than just skiing!
