Can you give me your opinion on the points below please. Not sure if they are all relevant but would appreciate some advice.
I have just purchased some boots (expensive for me!) from a reputable fitters. I have custom footbeds also.
I have only skied half a day on the boots and they have packed out a fair bit.
My heel is held in OK but the front of the boot feels very roomy. I was expecting the boot (Soloman x-max 130) to have a firm fit around the whole foot and not just the ankle. When on the chair lift it feels like the top crease of my foot is weight bearing for the whole ski.
I'll be taking the boots for the fitter to have a look, but I'm already concerned they are too big? The fitter didn't check the shell fit.
With my foot lightly touching the front of the to box I have at least 25mm if not more between my heel and the heel pocket.
When I take one of the boots off, the liner comes out with it.
I'm not criticising the fitter, just after some advice on whether they could be too big or if I'm being too picky. They cost me a lot of money and I don't want to walk away with a pair of oversized boots.
Thanks in advance to you all.
