thank you - those options are on my radar and will... shifting focus is a great idea.
The Fischer RC4 RC 180/18m was not a big challenge after that course - it is nice, but felt like a bigger slalom ski - should have kept it though for beer leagues. The JR ski I used now, is bigger radius and was more of a challenge but I don't get much out of it, I think JAMT is right. It is designed for lighter skiers - that was bad math on my part.
I spent 2 days last week on long double blacks with my Head i.GS.RD 183/26m and it was a blast... but that ski is a little too much, at my skill and (lack of) conditioning, to have fun on the runs we have at MSLM.
I have a stiff Fischer WC GS 183/23 that definitely pushes me back when I bend it, so I will switch to that. It is quite a bit more work to arc than the RC, and rewards you with more power as well. I think I will stick to that for a while. It was $250 on eBay, used but in great shape - you should try one...
I will do the thursday nights at MSLM - but I understand it will be an easy GS-like, probably 18m set, so a challenge on the 23m. In the weekends I am stuck with the coaching, which i'm not enjoying much this year either... where do you guys race?
thanks and cheers.
