I need to get rid of some fat skis and find a nice frontside ripper that can handle firm off piste freeriding. I have been wanting a thin ski for a while now. My thinnest ski right now is 100mm underfoot, and I think I want to try something around 88. Two skis that really interest me are the 180 Blizzard Brahma and 177 Volkl Kendo. Leaning towards the brahma, only because it has that little extra length, but I dont think that matters cuz blizzard actually measures a little shorter. Are they're any other skis out there like these two? I dont know too much about thinner skis, Hopefully someone can help me out.
Im 6'3,185 Like to ski fast. This ski would be used for Jackson Hole when there is no new snow for a few days, deep bumps, crud/chunder, chicken heads and ice and all that good stuff. Also I would like outstanding edge grip for maching down groomers back to the lift. I have never owned a ski with remarkable edge grip, and would like this ski to change that. Hopefully this isnt to much to ask for in a 88mm waist ski. It will not see powder, it will not see anything over an inch of snow, so I dont need it to be that versatile. Just versatile in low snow conditions. Really think the 180 Brahma is the ticket, but would like to hear other suggestions or what ya'll think.
