Loud and Squeaky Boot toe luges after planning to add canting/lifter

Thread Starter

I had some canting/lifter plates added to my boots and now they squeak like a mutha where the toe lug contacts the toe piece of the binding.  (Head Raptor shell, Marker Jester/Jester Pro binding)  At first I though it was the skis/bindings I was on because they were also freshly mounted, but I now realize this happens on every pair of skis I own.

Besides the annoyance (It is loud enough that my friends get annoyed on the cat track while skating out next to me . . .) it also isn't the most confidence inspiring thing to have going on.

My first question is if I should be concerned, and my second question is if there is anything I can put on the toe lug to make this stop.  Something like some Pam spray comes to mind, but who really wants to lube up the parts that are designed to keep you connected to your skis!

is the lifter that was added moving?    I would be more worried about that, then the noise...

check all the screws on the lifter please
