Thread Starter

The group skiing half day Friday (2/21) will meet near the Timberline ticket window around 12:30 PM.

Meet up times for Saturday and Sunday (2/22-23) will be on the snow in front of the lodge near the Teaching Area at 7:45 to 8:00 AM. We will pick up late arrivals at the same spot around 9:00 AM

Meet up on Monday (2/24) will be at Canaan Valley Resort  at 9:00 AM beside base loading area of main chair.

We will have red ribbons tied to our poles for easy ID for spotting us on the hill or at meet up times.

I posted this in the Group section:

Looks like we should have nice and soft Spring conditions on Saturday and Sunday at Timberline. Likely true corn conditions, with lows below freezing at night, and highs near or above 40. All trails should be open, with the exception of 2-3 short natural snow trails at the very bottom of the mountain (it is common that they are closed.)

There should be nice bumps on Upper Thunderdraft, The Drop and Off the Wall.

Glades will likely be dicey. Current settled snow depth this AM is 14", but rain is forecast for tonight/tomorrow AM, and the temps will be warm for the next 36 hours or so.

For those skiing Canaan Valley on Monday, I don't know what the status will be for the natural snow trails such as Upper C Lift Line, Old Canaan Curve, Prosperity, Dark Side of the Moon, Meadows III. AFAIK, they do make some snow on Meadows I and II, so there is a good chance they'll be open. When there is plenty of natural snow, CV is a pow playground.
