I decided to put together a compendium of myself going down in stupid ways.
Fall 1- I think I'm dodging a sapling to find that it is really extending sideways a few inches under the snow. Catches a ski, I go down in flats in about 4 feet of snow.
Falls 2 and 3 a twofer on opening day, October 19. I forget how to unweight my rock skis and cross tips while skiing the 18" of totally unconsolidated snow above rock. Somersault and down. Then I proceed to plug a snow shark at speed, spear both ski tips double eject onto another shark on my back. It hurt. Bad.
Fall 4. Catch a little hop in a ski track and send a weighted tip into the 3' of snow. Catches and pirouette fall.
Fall 5. 3" of loose to 3' of loose in a gully, somersault double eject and then a hunt for the submarine skis.
Fall 6. Scrub under the snow catches ski as I am rolling over for the next turn. Upper body keeps going downhill.
