Hi, im looking to buy my first pair of skis. I'm hesitating between a pair of Head Icon tt 10.0 ti from http://www.levelninesports.com/Head-Icon-Tt-100-Ti-Skis

or buying head peak 78 from a friend used at 300 including fixs and poles. Also what would be good fixs for the Icon and what type of boots should I looking for.

Welcome to Epic.

A little bit of description on how and where you ski does usually give for a better answer and you will be asked.

I won't be give an answer as to which ski as I don't know or have experience with them

Have fun what ever choice you end up making.

Cheers,

Welcome to EpicSki.  The boots you should be looking for are the one that fit your feet the best.  Tell us where you live and where you ski and someone here can recommend a boot fitter who will make sure you get boots that are the right size for your feet.  If you go to a big bog store like Sports Authority or order online your boots will be at least 2 sizes too big and they will be painful.

What are "fixs" for skis?

Head peak 78 used with bindings at $300 sounds like expensive to me. You will find a better deal on ebay.

Also Icon TT sounds like too narrow! You might want to consider a wider one.
