Have a choice of bindings for my Elan Apexes, so which one do I use? Railflex, FKS or Axial1 demo?

I have been given a pair of new Elan Apex as a present and have a selection of new bindings stuck away on the shelf that i could use on them, and not sure which one. All the brakes will fit fine.

They are going to get used as mainly a groomer ski, with a few bumps (as i have not really got a ski biased that way, as at the moment, I usually ski my s3's or elan chainssaws off piste, but when skiing them on groomers they lack a little, s3's are superb in bumps).

so I have a choice of Rossi FKS, Tyrolia Railflex or a Rossignol axial 1 demo binding that is new in the box. (yes old but super binding)

What I like about the railflex and the axial 1 is I can move the binding on the ski, and i am not sure about the mount position of the apexes.

what I don't like about the rail flex is the superlight toe they have, seems a bit plastic / flexy. Both the railflexes and demo will give a bit of lift which may be a benefit?

I also have the jig for the FKS and Axial 1, but not the railflex, but its reasonably easy to use the rail as a template.

Opinions would be useful. never skied the Apex, but they seem to have good reviews.

I bought my son a pair of Apexes two years ago and put Head(Tyrolia) railflex on them.  At Dawgcatching's advice they were mounted 1.5cm behind center.  My son loves those skis, in fact they were his first mid-fast skis and he wants to spend all his time in the trees now.  Given that the railflex has 1.5cm travel in either direction, you could always adjust them forward if you didn't like them, but Dawgcatching's advice seemed to be spot on.

I use to own a pair of apex's and I mounted mine 2 cm behind the line and felt the ski handled very neutral at that mount. The factory tune on those skis are extremely mild, I believe mine was a 1/1 from the factory. If you are an intermediate and up I would look into a more agressive tune before passing judgement on their hardpack performance. Fairly damp ski and handled air well.

Thank you for the info on mounting position and tune.  i do mount most of my skis a bit forward (I have  very small feet, 284mm sole length boots). I tune my skis 1/3 , makes the S3's reasonable on groomers, just ignore the flappy tip and tail, so the apexes will get that before they go out

As i may need to move the boot center about its between the tyrolia railflex and axial 1 demo's. The tyrolia railflex bindings have din to 11,  I put the railflex rail on a old ski today to do a practice mount and stuck the boot in the binding, the superlight toe piece does flex a bit...so i am not sure which to use.
