Afton Alps Demo Day

I heard yesterday that Afton Alps is having a public demo day on March 15th, but I could not find any info online. I called them but all the guy could tell me was that there is one on that day, but no details. Does anybody on here know any details about it or been to one there before?(what companies will be there, cost, good selection of skis to try?) I will be in the area for work the week before and would hang around for Saturday if it will give me a chance to demo skis I am interested in buying and getting when I head to Colorado on the 16th.

They call it shop dealers demo days and it's Feb 18 and 19. This is mainly for local shop people to get an idea of what next years equipment will be like and what they want to order. Tents will be set up at the bottom of chairs 2 and 3. There is no cost to demo equipment but you do have to buy a lift ticket. Last year most of the major manufacturers were there. In addition to skis they will have boots in the Oakwood Room in the Alps chalet. You can try the boots on but I don't think you can ski them.

The guy on the phone mentioned this, saying it was only for media and shop owners, but there is the one for the public on March 15th.  I'm thinking it would be about the same, just aimed at the non-professional.  But it leaves me wondering, how many companies would be showing up to a customer demo day in Minnesota in mid-March.  If the big companies are there with most of their ski lines, I am so there.  If it is just going to be a couple companies with a few rental-like skis, I can find that at most rental shops.

I got around to calling them again today about the demo and apparently it is part of their Spring Fling celebration on March 15th.  Unfortunately, nobody I could get on the phone knew what/how many brands would be on hand, or what was really even going on with it.  So I guess it is going to be a show-up-and-give-it-a-shot type of thing.  Also, nobody had any idea if there was a cost other than buying a lift ticket.  Sorry, not much help.
