Aerodynamic Drag Modeling of Alpine Skiers Performing Giant Slalom Turns

Brand new Swiss/Kiwi study, carried out both in lab and in-field.........possibly first one of it's kind specifically on turn technique. Compact is king they conclude. Ala Hirshcer and Pinturault with the flailing arm guys like Cyprien Richard or Bode not having the ideal technique (obviously).

Obviously line and line choice tactics may play a bigger role then aero in certain courses (St.Moritz springing to mind)

Nothing amazing, but there you, take it for what it is.
