Collins Ski Products Ident I Ski combination lock. How do I reset my combo?

Lock is in locked position but hasp is not in receiver. It rotated 180 degrees in my ski bag and my combination will not release it.

Need to reset combination.

First you have to find the combo. Should take maybe 45 minutes TOPS with three numbers, running through all of them, I've done it. Then, lots of times, you pull out or push in the hasp while it's in the current combo and you can set to a new combo, then release the hasp. Because it took me such a short time to run through the combo on my luggage years ago, I now insist on four number locks.

Further thought, while the hasp is under tension, you may need to rotate it 180 degrees.

Just go to youtube and search "how to pick a combination lock".  You won't feel very secure after seeing them though..:o

I have one of those still. Sorry, can't help you with reset. Keeps honest people honest. Not much good against professional thieves, but maybe they'll choose a slightly easier target if they see a lock.

Hi,

I have the same lock and the same problem,  Have you figured out how to reset it?  Thanks for posting it!

I would think that with the hasp out you could see when the notches line up.
