Val D'Isere ski instructor or ski school recommendation

I am going to be there for a week in late March and would like to hire an instructor to show us (me and my wife) around and to work on our technique for a couple of days. Has anyone had any experience with ValD ski schools and/or ski instructors?
Also what is the tipping protocol for ski lessons in France? Same as in the US?

Contact Alain Ledoux at Mountain Masters; you can Google them.  They specialize in English-speakers and are terrific.  Alain is an old friend; please say hello for me.

TDC - the development centre,  all the guys who work for them are super well qualified, and know the area inside out.

Tipping - not its not like in the US, ie you don't have to but if you've had a good lesson/time then something is nice, or a beer at the end!  Have a great trip - the terrain in Val is awesome!!!
