Over decades driving up US50 or SR88, I can't recall any vehicles ever doing that on those mountain road although it certainly occurs regularly on level low elevation highways where straight lengths of highway dominate. We can all agree overly conservative authorities have sometimes solid lined highways in rural low elevation regions where they should have left dashed passing lines. One reason I don't see that on those mountain highways is they have continual turns with visibility inadequate to gamble there isn't some other vehicle coming in the other direction. It would be different if there were stretches of straight highway with solid white lines but that is not the case. Of course if the small minded drivers actually think about it, it will occur to them they are not going to move up any further because of the long chain of back to back vehicles. So instead they sulk driving behind me a few miles until the next passing lane occurs. But the fact that some drivers leave safety space bothers them. As I noted, hilarious.
