Deer Valley Mtn Host Tour- Expert

Has anyone taken advantage of the Complimentary Mountain Host Tour at Deer Valley?  I will be there on 2/10 and considering doing the "expert" tour to have someone to ski with and learn the mountain.

Thanks in advance for the feedback.

Not DV, but have done it at some other mtns, eg Beaver Creek.  They are fun and if not you can usually duck out anytime.  An expert version sounds rare.  You might have the host all to yourself and that could be outstanding.

I'm friends with a couple of the mountain guides and will do it occasionally just to ski with them. I'd recommend it, if it isn't working for you, breaking away is an option. I'd join that day but I'll be in LCC next week.

I took this tour twice (a couple of years apart) and would definitely recommend it.Though it may depend on your guide and the interests/ability of the group, in my experience this is a real experts tour.

It's been several years and I don't remember the names of most of what we skied, but it included a lot of trees, some terrain involving short hikes, and even one of the Daly chutes. In general, a lot of places I would not have gone or found on my own.

Ill be in park city for the last 3 nights of my trip looking for someone to ski with. Was thinking of skiing the canyons and deer valley in no particular order but still haven't even decided where I'm going tomorrow so who knows?! PM me if you want someone to make some turns with.

It can be hit or miss, but usually its fun and often its very expert. And they won't accept tips, so it really is free

i wanted to report back and endorse the Expert Mountain Tour at Deer Valley. Our guide was Jill (dont recall last name) and there were five guest to start and we lost one early after he commented that our guide wasn't following protocol with her tour.  As far as i am concerned she did an awesome job getting us out of the fog and into powder stashed in the trees.  Since there was fog and it was my first time at DV I lost my sense of direction but i remember skiing the trees off Hawkeye, Daly Chutes, Lady Morgan Bowl, and Ontario Bowl.... at the end of the half day we got some good runs that i would not have done/found while skiing on my own.

and you cant beat the price... i would highly recommend it.
