Looking for season pass info. for Welch Village, Mn.

Hey all,

They don't have any information available on Welch's website.  Can anyone tell me what Welch has for their season pass rates (at least what prices were for this year)?  Do they have Sat. and/or Sunday passes as well?  Do they typically go on sale soon for next year at a discounted rate?  Thanks.

This was from last year:

"New members can purchase passes beginning Tuesday, Feb 22nd for $199 plus tax for individuals."

I'm assuming it will be the same this year.  $199 toward the end of the season and $149 to renew.

Right now you can buy the "freeze pass" for $30 per ticket.  I don't believe they have a weekend pass. They do offer student, night, and family passes.

I just got a promo email from Welch saying that if you buy the freeze pass yet this year, then you can buy next year's season pass at the renewal rate.  And even without that, the freeze pass pays off pretty quickly in reduced prices for lift tickets.

Speaking of Welch, has anyone bought the online deals where you print out the lift ticket at home?  I specifically want to know what you're supposed to do with it/how you display it?  Do they scan barcodes at the lifts or something?

Haven't been since last year, but they still used widget/sticker thing. For print at home deal, you printed out at home, took print out to ticket counter and got daily sticker pass. For season pass holders you would go to ticket counter w/ pass and get sticker ticket for the day. Think only place in area that does the at the lift scanning is Afton that came w/ the vail merger.

As slowobstacle stated the freeze pass is a great deal even if it is not your preferred hill.

They have a $99 night pass deal as well.

$99 season pass, 7 days per week, 4:00pm and later.

I love getting there right at 4:00 when everyone is leaving and skiing until 6:00, then going to dinner somewhere on the way home to St Paul...   Great night...  Especially nice now that it's light out until nearly 6:00 as well.
