Is it worth it going to Mt. Hood?

Will be visiting some buds at the end of February in Seattle.  Arriving Thur morning and leaving Sunday night at 11pm.  My buds are thinking of doing a road trip to Mt Hood.  We've never been there.  Last year we skied Crystal and loved it.  I'm thinking we should ski Crystal and or Stevens but my friends think otherwise.  Would it be worth it going to the Hood or just stay local?

If you could meld Crystal and Hood into one area, you'd have a great destination. Hood is pretty cruisey. Three or four days, I'd do Crystal a couple days, and Stevens... The drive up to Baker makes for a stupid long day trip, but if it's been snowing, well worth the trouble.

Both Crystal and Stevens have more varied terrain than the areas at Hood.  It depends on what you're looking for.  If you just want to see a new place and have a great time with buds, then Hood would be fine.  But if you are more focused on skiing, stay in WA.
