FWIW, I haven't been on on any AT bindings ever, but I have done a ton of reading about them lately - mainly the Freerides and the new Naxos.
Looking at your description in the other post - I would say that they should be durable enough.
Again, that isn't based on personal experience, but more from reading tons of posts - www.powdermag.com, www.tetongravity.com, www.telemarktips.com, here, etc...
One issue might be that the toe isn't nearly as bomber as most alpine binders' toes are. I ordered a spare toe from Black Diamond - it costs about 25 bucks and should be in your pack, especially if you do any real BC with them. I'm not saying that they are crap, just that it's possible to smack a rock break it. Supposedly they are simple to replace, even in the field.
I will be on them for 4 days of lift-served in the Wasatch starting this Saturday, so I'll be happy to come back with my impressions if you are interested.
BTW, I only weigh 135lbs myself, but 165 isn't all that heavy either.
