So this morning I'm hanging out for a few moments taking in the beautiful sunny sights at the bottom of North Bowl in Rock Springs Canyon just outside the gate from the top of the JH tram. I see a guy making gorgeous turns down toward me and he pulls up next to me.
What really caught my attention was the very unusual shape of his skis:
Turns out he's the North American director for Zai Skis: http://www.zai.ch/ski/laisa/
He's in town for a couple of days and was out sampling the goods in Rock Springs. Super nice guy and a really good skier. He and I skied the rest of the run together and then I had to leave to go to work. I'm hoping to make some more turns with him tomorrow.
They are REALLY interesting skis and they certainly work on HIS feet. I'll try to get some photos of the skis in action. If there's any way at all to do it, maybe I can make a turn or two on his pair.
