CAR RENTAL IN SALT LAKE CITY

I am flying into SLC and need a car for three weeks. Is 600 to 700 $ a reasonable price; this includes CDW insurance.

If not can anyone give me a steer to a cheaper company.

Did you try Orbitz, Travelocity, Kayak, etc?

It'll be better info than you'll get from joe-random-messageboard-poster.

I'll risk being joe random and suggest contacting TJ at Park City Four Wheel Drive (ParkCty4WD). I did a 6 week rental from him last year and the service and long-term-rental pricing were excellent (ex. delivered Jeep to JH for a very modest price). This post gives a good overview of his operation. Super nice guy and very easy to work with.

Sure you need the insurance?  If you own a car, there's a very good chance that your car insurance covers rentals.  And many credit cards include insurance that will pick up where the other insurance stops.  Risk is that if you get into an accident, your CC will be charged for damages and you will have to wait to get repaid fom insurance.  The CDW for three weeks is going to be a big amount!

That is not a good price IMO. Try priceline. Bid $25 or $30 a day.

For three weeks?  I think that IS a good price.   However, couldn't hurt to hit Priceline, as previously suggest, and bid something lower.

Yeah got to have that insurance. I am a Brit living on a sailboat in the Caribbean.
