I have a question regarding orthotics in ski boots. I just got a pair of tecnica bodacious 26.5 boots back in July from Starthaus. They fitted my boots for me and recommended orthotics because of my high instep. The guys up there did a great job and I'm really happy with the boots!! I've skied on them 5 times now, so I know I'm still breaking them in, but I've noticed that halfway through my day I can feel my tendons in my knees starting to get sore. I have never felt this sensation while skiing before, and the only other time I remember having this problem was when I was running and some sales person recommended I got orthotics because of my high instep. Next time I'm up in Tahoe I'm going to stop by and have them tweak the boots, but in the meantime, a few questions:
1) should I take them out?
2) are the orthotics even the problem?
3) will taking them change how the boot performs?
Thanks for our help!
