Changing Goode ski pole straps?

Hi everybody. I found a pair of Goode poles a few years ago and decided to keep them. Then a basket broke and I found out they had the screw off/snap on collet system. The straps are regular and I decided to replace them with the Interloc wrist straps-http://store.goode.com/goode-interloc-wrist-strap/

I took off the top screw and tried to jam the metal piece inside but it wouldn't fit. I see that the piece itself is a square with 2 overlapping ends. I was just wondering how to attach these things to the poles and how to utilize the snap on aspect. Thanks!

Sounds like you have a standard grip, or you are missing the quick release. A pic of your grip would help.

Ya,that metal rectangle in the top doesn't go inside the slot on your grip under the screw like traditional straps do.  It is designed to snap in a little hooked groove on TOP/SIDE of your grip. It looks like these aren't the right straps for your grips if you don't have the little groove on the top where the top part of the rectangular metal ring can be snapped in.  Or, you're missing that black plastic tab that goes in the grip with the slot outside for the strap to clip to.

At least that's how mine work.

Woops, sorry I'm a little late :rolleyes  Yeah it's a shame my poles don't have those hinges. Thanks for the pictures though.  It helped me solve the problem.
